Since being an expat in India, during the winter of 2014 I backpacked using various form of lodging across Europe with my four year old daughter for three months: Couchsurfing, hostels, AirBnB, pensions, Bed & Breakfasts, and hotels. This past year I led a 17 day tour through Rajasthan in January 2015. Then I returned to India this past fall for a three month long personal spiritual voyage from the mountains of Ladakh, to Dharamsala the home of the Dalai Lama, to the majestic mountains of Himachal Pradesh, to painted havelis of Rajasthan, to tasting every type of kebabs in Lucknow, to the tea growing region of Tamil Nadu called the Nilgiri Hills, and finally flew home from Mumbai my former stomping grounds.
I graduated with an MFA from Cranbrook Academy of Art. I have 15 years of experience working with companies like Ford Motor Company, Fisher-Price, Hasbro, University of Michigan, and College for Creative Studies in Detroit. In India I worked as a manager and instructor for Asia’s largest art college. In all these experiences I have been asked by friends and colleagues to arrange adventures and company off-sites.
I strive to create one-of-a-kind detailed tours for those who want to travel with me and individuals that want to do it on their own. I take my tours to far off places that most tour companies don't even consider. Why? It is because these places are so remote some barely touched by tourism. What I do best is uncover some of the coolest best examples of mountain trekking, fascinating historical art, ancient architecture, non-profits that are empowering women, kid appropriate tourism, cool moods of transportation, animal friendly establishments, and handicraft. On top of that mingling with the locals is one of the unique experiences on my tours. I want to share this special experience in India with you.
I hope you will join me on her next adventure!
I was born in Wisconsin, raised near Philadelphia, and now live on the beautiful shores of Lake Michigan. I lived in Mumbai, India (Bombay) for three years while I taught Product Design at an international college.
While living in Mumbai for three years I extensively traveled India. I explored the Goan seaside shore towns, traveled by rail extensively through Gujarat, and discovered every nook and cranny of Mumbai/Bombay. I walk around the fertile mountains of Darjeeling and plains of Assam the tea regions of India. I journeyed to the remote jungles of Uttaranchal and white water rafted on the Ganges. I voyaged on a thatched luxury boat in the backwaters of Kerala. I ate and took in the colorful sights of Rajasthan.
